A student preparing for NEET exams ends life in Kota
In Jaipur, a tragic incident has left the community in shock. An 18-year-old girl, Bagisha Tiwari, took her own life by jumping from the ninth floor of a building in Kota, Rajasthan. The police officials revealed this information on Thursday, leaving everyone in disbelief.

Bagisha was a medical aspirant from Madhya Pradesh, residing on the fifth floor of a multi-storey building with her mother and brother. Her dream was to become a doctor, and she was preparing for the NEET exam in Kota. However, on June 4th, a day after the NEET results were announced, she ended her life.

The officials stated that she was immediately taken to a private hospital, but unfortunately, she could not survive her injuries. Bagisha's father, an engineer in PWD in Rewa, arrived in Kota at 7 a.m. Upon hearing the news, he shared that Bagisha had scored 320 out of 720 in the NEET exam. He also mentioned that he had promised to get her admitted to a private medical college if she didn't make it this time. However, Bagisha wanted to give the exam one more try, and her father couldn't understand why she took such a drastic step.

According to the Circle Inspector at Jawahar Nagar Police Station, Harinarayan Sharma, Bagisha's brother is also a student preparing for the Joint Entrance Exam. He added that a video of the incident has surfaced, in which a girl is seen trying to stop Bagisha from taking her life. The police are still investigating the matter.

This is not the first time a student has committed suicide in Kota, famously known as the coaching hub of the country. This year alone, ten suspected suicide cases by students have been reported, while last year, the number stood at 26. The constant pressure and competition in the coaching institutes have raised concerns about the mental health of students, and authorities are taking steps to address this issue. The loss of young lives is a tragedy that cannot be undone, and it serves as a reminder to prioritize the well-being of students above academic success.
