A fatal rollover accident caused the closure of Tower Road in north Aurora.
A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning in Aurora, resulting in the death of one man and the arrest of another. The northbound lanes of Tower Road have been shut down due to a multi-vehicle crash, according to police reports.

Joe Moylan, a spokesperson for the Aurora Police Department, shared in an email that the driver of a Jeep, who was wanted for an outstanding warrant, was driving at a high speed when they collided with a Chevy Cobalt at the intersection of Tower and 40th Avenue. The crash took place at 7:15 a.m. and caused the Jeep to rollover. Both drivers were transported to nearby hospitals, but unfortunately, the driver of the Chevy did not survive. Despite a third vehicle being damaged by debris, the driver was unharmed.

Moylan stated that once the driver of the Jeep is released from the hospital, they will be taken into custody for their outstanding warrant as well as charges related to the crash. In other news, there have been multiple crashes and disasters reported in the Denver area, including a pedestrian being struck by an RTD bus in Washington Park, a driver causing a fatal crash that resulted in the death of two children and their parents, and a hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian near Acoma.

Authorities are currently investigating the crash on Tower Road and have estimated that the northbound lanes will be closed for several more hours. The victim's identity will be released by the Office of the Coroner Adams and Broomfield Counties.
