A couple that disappeared on a camping trip in Perth are causing worry and distress.
Authorities are currently searching for a couple who have not returned home from their camping trip in Outback WA. Ena Melville, 62, and Douglas Sims, 68, have been out of contact since Monday, September 30. The two were traveling in a grey Toyota Prado with a camping trailer in tow and were last known to be in the Warburton area.

Worries among family members have grown as the couple was supposed to be back in their hometown of Margaret River on Sunday. Melville is described as having a slim build, shoulder-length greyish blonde hair, and piercing blue eyes. Sims, on the other hand, has a medium build, short grey hair, a beard, and blue eyes.

Warburton is a remote Aboriginal community situated south of the Gibson Desert. Recently, the area has been hit with heavy rainfall resulting in road closures that are still in effect. Due to the lack of a defined search area, land search operations for the couple have not yet begun. Police are currently focusing their efforts on the Warburton region and along Connie Sue Road.

To aid in the search, a police helicopter will be dispatched later today. In the meantime, you can stay updated on the situation by following our WhatsApp channel.
