A cat has made a groundbreaking achievement by being the first of its kind to complete the Three Peaks Challenge.
Louis, the seven-year-old Persian cat, has made history by being the first cat to conquer the Three Peaks Challenge! Accompanied by his owners, Jess Peters and Dan Taylor, Louis spent 29 hours walking up Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis, and Mt Snowdon while being walked on a lead. What an adventurous feline!

Jess, 31, and Dan, 34, were amazed by Louis' determination and preparation for the challenge. They shared that Louis is an indoor cat, but he loves going on walks with them. In fact, he walks an average of five to six miles every day! Jess has been walking Louis since he was a kitten, and he quickly took a liking to it. They started with walks around the garden, and then ventured out to the woods where Louis enjoyed it even more. He just loves being outside and exploring.

Dan, who is training to be a truck driver, added that Louis was better prepared for the mountains than they were. He walks so much that they even have a tracker to monitor his movements. He also has different outfits and a coat for different weather conditions. For the Three Peaks Challenge, they made sure to pack his water, food, and a blanket in case he got cold.

The trio started their journey with a trip up Snowdon in May, followed by a trek up Ben Nevis over the August Bank Holiday and finally finishing off with an excursion up Scafell Pike on Saturday. They shared that it was a bit challenging at times because Louis, being a cat, loves to wander off and explore. But they made sure to keep an eye on him and get him back on track whenever he spent too much time investigating something interesting.

The couple also revealed that they love hiking and wanted to take their adventurous pet with them. When they first climbed Snowdon, they thought it would be funny to bring Louis along. Little did they know, he would enjoy it so much and even be better prepared than they were for the treacherous journey.

Their journey took a total of 29 hours, with Snowdon taking eight hours, Ben Nevis taking 11 hours, and Scafell Pike taking 10 hours. Along the way, they received lots of attention and questions about their unique hiking companion. Dan shared that people were shocked to see a cat climbing a mountain, and some even thought he was a penguin!

But despite the challenges and tiredness, Louis made it through the Three Peaks Challenge and is now planning a new adventure with his owners. What a remarkable and brave cat!
