In Bhubaneswar, the NSS bureau of Odisha University of Technology and Research recently held a special self-defense campaign in honor of NSS Day. The event was a great success, with approximately 150 students enthusiastically taking part. The main goal of the campaign was to raise awareness about the importance of self-defense and equip the participants with essential techniques to protect themselves, ultimately fostering a sense of security and confidence.
The program was led by Sabita Dash, the coordinator of the NSS bureau, and Jitendra Naik, the program officer of Unit V. Their guidance and expertise ensured that the event ran smoothly and effectively. We were also honored to have Rosalin Dalai and Bishnu Narayan Mahapatra in attendance at the event.
Notably, all the NSS volunteers from OUTR were present, showing their support and dedication to such initiatives within the university community. This solidarity and teamwork played a significant role in the success of the event. In her concluding speech, Registrar Renuprava Nayak emphasized the importance of self-defense skills for girls and praised the NSS team for their efforts in organizing such a meaningful event.
The NSS self-defense campaign was a valuable and empowering experience for all the participants. It not only equipped them with practical skills to protect themselves but also instilled a sense of confidence and security. We are grateful to the NSS bureau, program officers, and volunteers for their dedication and commitment in organizing such a beneficial event. Let us continue to support and empower each other in creating a safer and more confident society.
