The United Kisan Morcha (SKM) will organize a ‘Rail Roko’ agitation today demanding the dismissal and arrest of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra in connection with the Lakhimpur violence. Rail traffic will be suspended for six hours on all routes from 10 am to 4 pm on Monday during the ‘Rail Roko’ protest.




“The SKM calls upon all its constituents to stop the train for six hours on October 18 from 10 AM to 4 PM. SKM appeals that this should be done peacefully and without causing any damage to railway property.

The protest will intensify till justice is not given , a joint forum of various farmers’ organizations opposing the three agricultural laws of the Center, SKM said in a statement on Sunday. “The United Kisan Morcha has announced a nationwide Rail Roko program demanding the arrest and dismissal of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra so that justice can be done in the Lakhimpur Kheri massacre,” the statement said.
